My name is Grace Dunn, and I am the founder of Finesse Lash & Beauty, established in 2018. With over six years of experience in the beauty industry, my passion is deeply rooted in enhancing beauty, and my mission has always been simple: to help others feel confident, empowered, cared for, and at their absolute best.

How It All Began

My journey began at just 16 years old when I signed up for my first lash course on a whim. What I thought might be a passing interest quickly transformed into a love for the art of lashing. Growing up as a dancer, my love for beauty first took shape through makeup. I always enjoyed getting ready for competitions—perfecting my makeup, adding a pair of lashes, and seeing how those small details transformed my confidence. Makeup became a creative outlet for me, and false lashes became part of my go-to look long before I knew about eyelash extensions. Little did I know, lashes would soon become the foundation of my career!

 

It's safe to say I had some pretty humble beginnings—my lash journey started out of an office room in my moms house, armed with a cheap recliner chair from Kijiji and some BIG dreams. I offered $20 lash sets to the girls at my school, practicing on anyone who was willing to let me glue lashes to their eyes. It definitely wasn't glamorous, but it was behind that chair that I fell in love with the process, learned to hustle, and built the foundation for what would eventually become Finesse Lash & Beauty.

Balancing high school, a part-time job, and a growing side-hustle was no easy task, but I was determined. Over the years, I’ve graduated, sharpened my skills, expanded my business, and evolved from a baby lash artist to a fully certified beauty professional and educator. I’ve had the privilege of working in salon environments, hosting local pop-up events, and mentoring aspiring lash artists—connecting with some of the most inspiring and driven individuals along the way.
